Assistant Editor

Stagnito Communications, an Ascend Media Company, recognized as one of the fastest growing business-to-business media companies, has a need for highly motivated Assistant Editor to join our editorial team on our Flexible Packaging and Brand Packaging Magazines at our division office in Deerfield, Illinois.

The Assistant Editor assists the senior editorial team in editing copy using AP Style, fact checking articles, writing copy for product news departments and checking page proofs for editorial accuracy and consistency. In addition, the position requires writing of market ternd features. Some travel is involved.
REQUIREMENTS
Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to read and interpret documents. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Ability to calculate figures and amounts.

A strong interest in reporting and writing about the food industry.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products.
