REQUIREMENTS
This person will sell advertising to retail customers, and prospect for new accounts within the immediate Charlotte area. The candidate will also write ad copy for featured advertorials in The Charlotte Observer including Item Eyes, the Sunday Page and the Home Page as well as create additional specialty page sales opportunities for other niche markets. Inherent in this position is the servicing of customers, the creation of advertising through presentation and layout, achieving sales revenue and linage goals, increasing the customer base, communicating account activity and market trends to management and maintaining on-going account analysis. College degree in Advertising, English, Creative Writing, Communications or Journalism preferred. At least one year in sales, marketing or related experience is required, preferably in the newspaper or a related industry. Qualified candidates must be goal-oriented, organized, and have exceptional sales, communication, and presentation skills.
