ASSOCIATE EDITOR

We are seeking an Associate Editor to join the editorial/production team within our growing organization in Mountain View, CA. CPP’s corporate culture is collaborative, results focused, and committed to professional development.

The Associate Editor reports to the Managing Editor and is responsible for:Copyediting and proofreading books, manuals, booklets, and other print products; online projects; marketing materials; and corporate materials
Providing editorial services including project management, author communications, and quality assurance reviews
Managing the reprint errata process

And will have:2-plus years’ experience as an editor in print publishing
B.A. degree in related field
Demonstrated copyediting and proofreading skills
Familiarity with Chicago Manual of Style and APA Style Guide
Excellent project management, communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects
Proficiency in MS Word required, Excel and PowerPoint desirable
Understanding of production, printing, and typography
