ADVERTISING SALES MANAGER

The Communications Division of Group Publishing, an interdenominational Christian publisher, currently has a position open for an Advertising Sales Manager. Job responsibilities include: Calling on existing advertising accounts and prospecting a targeted market in order to secure ad sales to reach youth pastors and

leaders through Group Magazine. Responsibilities include ability to excel in verbal and written communication with advertising clients and potential clients through effective sales management. This includes strategic planning, daily scheduling and an understanding and ability to move clients successfully through the sales process. Ability to maintain telephone and email conversations up to 7 hours per day, with remaining time to involve administrative and meeting responsibilities. Some travel is required. 5 years sales experience plus thorough knowledge of Word and ACT management software are required. 4-year degree preferred in related field such as Marketing/Sales or related work experience is also required. The candidate must have excellent time management skills, be self-motivated and excel in the areas of customer service and retention. Knowledge of the Christian marketplace is helpful.
