Trade Marketing Channel Manager

Kaz is seeking a multi-talented Trade Marketing Channel Manager to plan and develop channel and customer-specific category leadership programs for each core product category, with a focus on improving the 5 sales controllables – distribution, pricing, shelving, promotion, and merchandising.
The Trade Marketing Channel Manager will develop and utilize reporting systems to measure the impact of category leadership programs on Kaz profitability within sales channels and customers via customer P&L’s , trade promotion spending calendars, ROI analysis, and POS analysis.
Responsibilities:
•Participate in business planning sessions that address the 5 Sales Controllables with marketing, sales, and finance team members.
•Develop channel and customer-specific, category leading, sales plans and that improve the 5 Sales Controllables.
•Partner with Sales to shape customer thinking away from price as the dominant decision factor by providing “value adds” to customers in the areas of category management, trade promotions, upgraded customer presentations, and merchandising.
•Participate in team selling in order to penetrate customers at multiple levels within their organization.
•Measure the impact of customer-specific Category Leadership Programs by developing and utilizing trade promotion calendars and ROI analysis.
REQUIREMENTS
•Minimum 3 years experience in a sales, marketing, trade marketing, or category analyst position, preferably with a consumer products company, that sells products in retailers within one or more of the classes of trade listed: food/drug/mass/club/home center/hardware/specialty.
•Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with cross functional groups and individuals to achieve results.
•Strong analytical, written, and communication skills.
•Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
•Oracle, Business Object, Hyperion, Spaceman software experience would be an advantage.
•An entrepreneur who works well in a fast-paced environment.
•Travel estimated at 5 – 15%.
•4 year College degree.
