Territory Manager- Baltimore/DC

Primary Responsibility:
Territory Manager responsibilities include managing an account base of retail stores throughout Baltimore/DC area.

Essential Functions:
·Develop business relationships at assigned accounts and provide these accounts with information about selling, profitability and placement of our products.
·Increase promotional activity, sales volume and profitability of assigned accounts.
·Responsible for maintenance of product placing and facing on store shelves.
·Other duties and special projects as requested.
·Must maintain good attendance.
·Maintain safe work practices.
·Maintain safeguards of confidential company information.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Requirements:
A minimum 2 years prior experience in field sales, managing an account base, tactical call planning. Working knowledge of category management and DSD operations required. College degree (BS) preferred. Valid driver's license required. Knowledge of MS Office required.

Physical Requirements:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Must be able to carry 10 pounds, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee is frequently required to sit and drive. The employee is frequently required to stand, climb and walk. Must be able to travel. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is subject to both a typical office / store environment and all outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environments is low to high.

Qualifications / Additional Skills / Aptitude:
Ability to present for sales a wide variety of products. Must have solid marketing and analytical ability. Ability to understand retailer and customer preferences to select products to recommend. Must have demonstrated leadership skills with a track record on increasing responsibility and achieving positive business results along with highly effective facilitation, presentation and other communication skills. Understanding of sales process and methods to influence decision makers. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Ability to follow information in a schematic format. Strong organization and time management and communication skills. Ability to work independently without direct on-site supervision. Excellent grammar, verbal and writing skills. Above average presentation skills. High energy level. Comfortable performing multi-faceted tasks in conjunction with day-to-day activities.
