As a Technical Product Manager you will be a key member of the product management team researching licensing, installation, operating system, migration and hardware technologies. This is a highly collaborative position that requires an in-depth understanding of how customers implement Autodesk’s licensing and install technologies. You will provide leadership and customer knowledge to the design, development and testing teams to support the product development cycle. As successful candidates you will be part of a highly professional team that works hard and enjoys working as a close net team. Verbal communication and writing skills along with the ability to influence others are must have skills for this position.Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Work closely with customers and customer research tools to gather product requirements. Document the results in collaboration with the lead product manager for AutoCAD.
Work directly with a cross functional team to represent the customers needs and ensure that the features for the product release meet customer needs.
Create a prioritized list of market requirements based on the products strategy. Work with Product Design, Product Development, QA and Tech Pubs to develop gross resource estimates for the high priority features.
Based on the gross estimates, work with the lead Product Manager to craft the feature set and messaging for the product release.
Help define the final product scope based on available resources, product strategy and customer research.
Assist Product Marketing in defining positioning, messaging, demo sets, marketing collateral, etc.Requirements:
Strong hands on knowledge of Autodesk’s licensing and installation technologies
Understanding of the design and engineering customer
Intense customer focus
Strong product and customer advocate
Ability to lead a team towards a common goal
Ability to drive decisions and get closure on recommendations and issues fast
Ability to interact with and influence others affectively
Ability to set priorities and work in a multi tasking environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Desired Knowledge/Skills:
4-year degree from an accredited institution in:
Note: Equivalent experience will be accepted.
In-depth knowledge of Autodesk Standalone and Network licensing technologies from a customer perspective
In-depth knowledge of Autodesk Standalone and Network installation technologies from a customer perspective
Understanding Windows operating system technologies
Understanding of the design and engineering customerWork Experience:
3+ years of experience in the product or service’s industry or:
Specific experience in design or CAD desktop software
Work for 3+years as a CAD manager, IT person or person in charge of licensing and installation of Autodesk products
