Job Description:

Responsibilities:
A store opening merchandiser will travel to new store sites coordinating the store opening process with operations personnel. Merchandisers supervise store personnel in setting fixtures, merchandise and signage in accordance with approved merchandise plans in a timely fashion. This perso will also act as a liaison between store operations and corporate office. Plans and implements opening strategy with DM, Store Manager and Training Supervisor. Coordinates receipt and installation of expense fixtures. Supervises and provides guidance in setting basic department planograms. Coordinates store personnel in receiving ,organizing and completing store opening merchandise order. Assists store manager in contacting and coordinating arrival of direct vendors. Ensures new stores open according to specified timeframe meeting Walgreen standards.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma; The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, communicate effectively and be an independent self starter. A minimum of one year retail management or merchandising experience is preferred . Candidate must be available to travel on a regular basis. Ability to work with diverse populations necessary, excellent organization and time management skills are a must.
