Senior Product Manager
Job Summary:Responsible for development/implementation of strategic and tactical plans for Infectious Disease products. The product manager will integrate data/information from field and internal sources as well as from primary and secondary market research to develop strategies and tactics that enable attainment of assigned sales according to the corporate plan.Job Responsibilities:
Develops Annual Market plans and implements tactical programs as established in the annual U.S. Marketing plan and any activities related to new dermatology product lines.
Develops forecasts and budgets for assigned products and manages defined A&P budget for promotional and educational activities as established in the U.S. Critical Care Marketing Plan.
Works closely with field staff (RSM, Sales Representatives, and Science Liaisons) to investigate and develop opportunities in the field.
Interacts with Regulatory, Finance, R&D, DDPM, Medical Information, Outcomes and Reimbursement, Sales Administration and Sales.
Develops Sales training materials as required to implement tactical programs.
Identifies developmental needs and assists R&D in planning phase II, III, and IV and related studies.Monitors competitive products, activities and therapeutic/diagnostic modalities to maintain a product pricing strategy that achieves assigned goals. Commissions and interprets market research studies and analyzes current trends as they relate to protecting and growing dermatology annuity patient base.Assists with the marketing activities necessary for NPPL decisions that involve the licensing for other dermatology products.Develops relationships with US opinion leaders, key U.S. professional societies and patient support groups in the field.Spends at least 3 days per month in field with Professional Representatives, or corporate customers.Assists in the direction of marketing/sales activities to achieve profit goals for assigned products.Responsible for assuring reimbursement and regulatory guidelines are met and that all products under her/his control are strategically positioned in both areas.
REQUIREMENTS
Job Requirements: A Minimum of 3 years Sales and/or Marketing experience required (Product Manager), a minimum of 3 years product management experience required.(Senior Product Manager) Knowledge and understanding of Infectious Disease therapeutics and science. Ability to manage expense budgets to optimize returns. Understanding or R&D activities and regulatory environment. Proven oral, written, analytical and quantitative skills. Four-year college degree or equivalent required (MBA or Masters preferred) Demonstrated ability to identify market opportunities and implement high impact field sales promotional programs desired. Ability to manage expense budgets to optimize returns.
