The candidate will work with the creative team and Production Manager to effectively manage resources, schedules and the quality of deliverables through a full project life cycle. He or she should have in depth knowledge of commonly used project management concepts, practices and procedures. The candidate may perform all the functions of Traffic Coordinators and Producers, with additional responsibilities.This position will report to the Production Manager.
Project and Resource Management:
• Accountability for the successful delivery of multiple, simultaneous projects through DS&S. Use workflow tools to assign work and manage SLA requests, small projects, large projects, site launches, concept shop requests and production work.• Work directly with the Product Management and Information Design groups to plan and execute project plans for larger company wide initiatives• Work with business representatives who request enhanced projects, internal subject matter experts, business analysts, development teams and QA specialists
• Work together with leads across the organization to build well-structured comprehensive project plans for new site launches and large project initiatives, managing the creative portion through in its entirety• Solicit, understand and write the business and functional requirements for projects, and convey these requirements to the proper teams• Ensure the requirements are synchronized with capabilities, given time and resource constraints• Participate throughout a project's quality assurance cycle to ensure that the final product meets the expectations of the original project requirements• Closely monitor change requests and prevent unapproved requirement modifications that result in scope creep• Schedule and facilitate project status meetings and advise management on the effects change requests will have on schedule and resources; produce agendas and prepare the resulting conclusions and action items• Provide direction to resources, monitor development efforts, assemble key project deliverables, report project status, and raise awareness on issues requiring escalation• Provide resource requirements per project and effectively motivates and manages those resources over the project duration• Communicate project implementation options that affect cost, schedule, quality, and risk to stakeholders, as well as offer recommendations based on these elements .• Develop and improve workflow and business processes for ongoing operations, and document the supporting process flow charts that define the processes• Mentor Traffic Coordinators and ProducersReporting and Analytics:• Extract data from various sources and compile reports that help monitor site performance, feature performance and conversion rates.• Focus on quantitative data and qualitative analysis in support of design goals; Incorporate analytic tools into design methodology and measuring performance enhancements• Analyze data and metrics before projects start to determine possible courses of action, as well as which projects would be more likely to increase conversion• Provide visibility on conversion impact when compromises are made to offerings• Produce and publish weekly reports of key performance metrics
Relationship Management:
• Ability to motivate and build collaborative teams who are dedicated to on time project delivery• Interfaces regularly with the online business management teams (OBMs), Engineering, Merchandising, and internal business experts to deliver quality work• Set expectations among these groups regarding scope, timeline and quality of deliverables• Work effectively with all groups to build project plans and update project status
Departmental Management:
• Must be familiar with processes, procedures and practices.• Manage departmental initiatives, and produce reporting associated with initiatives• Report on department and project metrics; analyze and report on trends• May be responsible for test plans and QA testing of weekly Storeman eventsMinimum Requirements:
• BS or MS in a computer-related field or equivalent experience• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in full life-cycle management of small to large scale projects• Prior involvement in managing multiple projects concurrently• Experience with Project Management Tools (i.e., MS Project, MSCentral, PMOffice helpful)• Proven written and oral presentation skills
