Senior Marketing Manager-Chains

Job Category: Marketing/MarketingGeneral Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities require outstanding project and budget management skills, proficient and proven knowledge of promotional activities and client service/communication excellence. This position requires superior organizational skills to manage the project management process to its entirety. This includes all necessary steps ranging from opening a marketing job involving the appropriate colleagues, clearly understanding the strategic objectives, goals and ROI requirements to concluding with the final billing processes. The ability to work within a remote or field team environment while understanding the depth of the corporate network. It is critical that the candidate must be able to effectively contribute and understand the importance of information flow throughout the company.This position holds the following key areas of responsibilities:
1. Help create, execute and manage the chain account promotions. This includes consistently meeting project deadlines and project budgets. This position may assist with other promotional efforts beyond the chain customers that will also require the same involvement.
2. Develop, maintain and nurture key account relationships to help design custom business-building programs based on account needs and goals.
3. Assist in developing, managing and tracking various components of the budgets for the co-op programs and other promotional budgets as required.
4. Assist in analyzing and evaluating marketplace dynamics - e.g. competitive activities, other major chain account activities, in terms of pricing, promotions, volume, etc.
5. Be responsible for other corporate/global special projects as they arise such as launching a new product that would require ownership of the positioning and planning for introduction to the marketplace, comprehensive agent initiatives, assist with global POS projects, etc.
REQUIREMENTS
Skills and Experience Required: -BA/BS Marketing/Advertising, advanced degree preferred.
8-10+ years in a marketing position. This experience must be relative to advertising agency account service work, corporate marketing department and/or retail marketing environment.
Proven excellent project management and organizational skills required. This includes original communications and any necessary follow up required. Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to make strong, professional presentations to both internal and external customers.
Solid time management skills with a superb track record in establishing and juggling multiple projects and priorities.
A proactive leader who is energized and inspired by team environments and understands the importance of relationship-building both with internal and external customers. Must demonstrate a “go-get-it” personality to ensure on-time, on-budget project completion.
Excellent budget management and tracking skills a must.
Proficient at major Microsoft Office software - including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Understand and manage the creative process for promotional projects.
Strategic thinker - takes a strategic thought process to evaluate and recommend appropriate programs and new ideas that drive/build the business.
Proactive and committed to continuous improvement - e.g. process and procedures that can be improved to deliver greater efficiencies and effectiveness as well as identifying and implementing “best practices” on an on going basis.
Exposure/experience to multi-cultural business situations
Travel required (30%-35%)
Previous supervisory experience.Special Considerations: Must be flexible in travel schedule ability as many of the required travel may fall in clusters vs. spread out over the year. E.g. May be on the road several days a week for 3 or 4 weeks in a row and then not on the road for 6 weeks at a stretch. This demands excellent organizational skills and high levels of productivity regardless if in the office or on the road. Very demanding.
