Purpose:
Senior Marketing Analyst

Advertiser Marketing: As a member of the Advertiser Marketing Department, this position will play a critical role in the execution of all business-to-business marketing-related initiatives that drive advertising revenues for the regional retail sales teams. The Sr. Marketing Analyst must be able to craft compelling sales arguments for the Los Angeles Times portfolio of media products including, print, online and Latino-focused media.
REQUIREMENTS
In this role, the Sr. Marketing Analyst will:

* Have 3 – 5 years of media marketing or media research experience with solid understanding of fundamental marketing principals including, promotions, product development, pricing and distribution
* Have strong quantitative skills with the ability to generate insights from data to craft a compelling sales argument
* Be able to understand syndicated market research
* Possess strong oral and written communications skills to effectively and confidently present marketing programs to all levels of management
* Be able to work directly with Category Directors, Regional Sales Managers, and Los Angeles Times account executives to recommend and implement marketing, advertising and media solutions
* Have exceptional project management skills to plan, organize and coordinate projects
* Be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Access knowledge preferred but not required
* Enjoy a fast-paced, deadline-driven, dynamic work environment and have a genuine passion for media and planning optimal integrated advertising solutions for Regional Retail advertisers
* Four year college degree required
