Currently, Marriott Vacation Club International is seeking a Senior Manager – Club Development for its corporate office located in Orlando, Florida.
Expected Contributions
- As a member of the Club leadership team create strategies, plans, initiatives and goals at the beginning of each year to further develop the Club and achieve the three defined team objectives of enhancing member experience, creating profitable revenue streams and reducing sales and marketing costs for MVCI. Specifically, define the Club’s marketing campaigns, channels, interfaces, product packaging, pricing structures and supporting budgetary requirements for each year.
- Manage the Club’s efforts by structuring the vendor relationships, contracts and agreements which support the Club business vision and deliver demanded offerings (products, services and/or benefits).
- Partner with Customer Development to understand and accurately project and quantify customer demand for considered offerings at various price points and packaging options.
- Manage the specific implementation plans and implement offerings, leveraging internal and third party vendor relationships conforming to the current and planned Club operational structure, systems, marketing plans, sales channels, etc.
- Participate in the broader development of a common understanding and vision for marketing elements (Product, Pricing, Promotion, and Placement) for the Club business line by working with leadership to build consensus around these structures and concepts, along with development efforts and new product/feature implementation plans.
- Maintain relationships Marketing, Creative Services, Web and other departments in MVCI and MI to allow smooth implementation of new relationships and benefits. Coordinate with MVCI Supervisor and Sr. Management to access MVCI/MI internal department heads for the accomplishment of initiatives in support of the above objectives.
- Negotiate, when needed, with Marriott departments for mutually beneficial results via existing and new marketing channels including web, email, Hotel on-site, media, and direct mail.
- Partner with the appropriate creative and legal departments to development of collateral and advertising materials.
- Analyze and implement, with department leaders a system to capture, manage and communicate all site-based offerings to Club members and leverage those opportunities to enhance Club and onsite revenues.
- Partner with appropriate functional areas to track and periodically report on the successes and challenges of Club initiatives and relationships, capturing such appropriate information as sales revenue, commissions, profits, unit volume, mix, etc.
-The scope of application of all the above includes all geographic areas (U.S.- all regions, Europe, Far East, Latin America) and all MVCI Brands (MVCI, Horizon, GRC, RCC). (RCC participation anticipated by mid-2007.)
- Proactively seek opportunities to achieve Club goals, preempting problems before they impact our business, anticipating future trends and developing others at every opportunity.
REQUIREMENTS
Candidate Profile
-Ability to work extended hours and weekends, and ability to travel out-of-town overnight once or more per month
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Marketing. 3-5 years preferred.
- Ability to conceptualize, plan, organize and implement new product line introductions and/or marketing programs. Proven track record in marketing is essential.
- Ability to manage and influence multiple projects with various groups.
- Candidate must be able to represent themselves and the company well in both business and social settings, as required to deliver, cultivate and capitalize on internal and external relationships essential to growth of Club initiative.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
- Prior experience working with membership-based clubs, web-based services, travel services and/or card products is preferred.
