Senior Designer

Summary of Position:
Our client is a world leader in grip & control wheel technology and they are looking for a Senior Designer to perform a wide variety of mechanical/electromechanical engineering assignments at an intermediate degree of complexity with minimal direction.

Serves as both a Group Leader and a mechanical designer, creates complex drawings and layouts to assist engineers in developing product designs.

ResponsibilitiesCalculates dimensions, weights, capacities, or quantities by applying mathematical formulas.
Reviews engineering drawings and retrieves information to complete drawing or layout.
Produces product layouts under supervision of senior engineering personnel.
Develops preliminary sketches or schematics, layout, detail, and assembly drawings.
Gathers all necessary information to develop a final design.
May help design prototypes or modifications to existing product or equipment. REQUIREMENTS

Proficiency in SolidWorks.
Minimum of 5000 hours of SolidWorks experience.
10+ years related experience in aerospace, military, or aviation design.
Design in grip and control wheel technology
Ability to work with a minimal amount of supervision.
Ability to handle several jobs at one time.
Ability to read blueprints, including schematics.
Must possess basic mathematical skills.
Well versed in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
Possess an understanding of Man-Machine interface design.
Possess problem solving abilities.
Computer literate.
Good organization and good communication skills, both written and oral.
Familiar with COSMOS.
AS degree; appropriate experience may be substituted for the degree.
