Healthcare Management Systems, Inc. is searching for qualified candidates to fill our Regional Sales Representative position for the mid-west region of the US.
Mid-West Territory - MI, OH, PA, IL, IN, WI, IA
The Regional Sales Representative is responsible for all activity in assigned territories to sell products and services to new HMS customers. In addition, the RSR will assist in the continued development of the client relationship at all levels in the client organization and client satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
*Identify, qualify and close Hospital Information System (HIS) opportunities to new customers.
*Arrange presentations, demonstrations, site visits and other major selling activities.
*Manage time and resources effectively to meet territory sales objectives. This includes a focus on territory management and development.
*Maintain industry and product knowledge and inform company of changing market conditions and competitive issues.
*Identify and close major sales opportunities in existing customers and coordinate activities with account managers.
*Complete weekly sales reports for sales activity to management.
*Assist in contract negotiations.
*Identify and coordinate activities with key selling influences.
REQUIREMENTS
Experience & Education:
*4 year Bachelor’s degree in a related field
*5+ years successful healthcare information systems sales experience to hospitals
*Big ticket healthcare sales experience ($500,000+ average deal)
*Experience in complex and long sales cycles (1+ years)
*Comfortable selling at high levels in the healthcare market (CEO, COO, CIO, CFO level)
*Verifiable experience exceeding large quotas ($2,000,000+)
*Knowledge of strategies for hospitals
*Knowledge of sales territory management (Siebel experience a plus)
*Good negotiation, conflict management & customer service skills.
*Ability to manage multiple, diverse projects and sales events simultaneously.
*Knowledge of current information systems technology and of healthcare industry and trends.
*Strategic sales account planning skills.
*Ability to demonstrate consistent closing techniques throughout the sales cycle.
