Regional Sales Director - Intangible Sales

American Management Association, a worldwide leader in training, business solutions and management development, is looking for a Regional Sales Directors in various territories, one of which is the Dallas, TX area.
Essential Job Functions:
- Account acquisition, retention and growth of targeted accounts with mid to senior executive contacts, relationship building, prospecting, networking strategies, consultative selling skills.
- Account penetration and expansion of current business to increase sales volume per account via curricular, topical sales, full range of AMA products and services. - Account expansion through prospecting to new and/or dormant accounts.
- Account retention via contracts, strategies and penetration to new functional contacts and contacting all buying influences.
- Assessments of client business issues and performance gaps, recommendations of appropriate training and development solutions.
- $750,000 - $1,000,000 annual sales with appropriate profitability.
- Achieve individual and team goals for growth by collaborating with team members.
- Achieve all quota and activity levels.
- Demonstrate competencies in account development, sales relationships, consultative selling, analysis of business performance issues and appropriate solutions, account management, faculty management, product knowledge and application, networking and prospecting skills. These competencies must be demonstrated with a proven track record in obtaining new business, team skills, application of knowledge relative to training and development and human resource performance improvement.
- Presentation, written and verbal communications, as well as business issue based proposal writing, which are aligned to client issues and performance needs.
- Other related duties.
REQUIREMENTS


- BA/BS degree required, MBA or advanced studies preferred.
- 7+ years of demonstrated successful sales experience with intangibles. Training, performance consulting, HR, etc
- Residence in location is required (home office), driver's license and automobile required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
- Proven self-starter who can work both as a team member as well as independently. - Experience dealing with high level executives.
- Proven successful sales record. Some managerial experience preferred.
- Existing contacts in geographic area.
- Must be willing to prospect and have high energy level.
