Regional Field Sales Manager - Washington, DC

The candidate is responsible for managing all of the in-store field training programs for a region (Washington, DC and surrounding area) of a national retailer and would include all the servicing and execution aspects of these programs including:Development of the field sales strategy for the account In-Store Rolling Program Implementation Plan Staffing, management and monitoring of the field sales group within the region Coordinating program details with Store Operations at the client Managing supply deliveries to the stores Assisting with the set up of the in-store program. Assisting with design of in-store materials Coordinating placement with the partner store management. Scheduling training programs with store management on a regional basis Assisting with associate and store personnel incentive programs design and fulfillment
This job is critical to the success of the program as it will directly impact the number of new cards that we acquire. This job will require that the candidate exhibit an outstanding skill base in the areas of relationship management, sales force management and development, training for in-store execution.
Sales Force Management:
The position also involves a coordination of all the sales initiatives across the store system within the partner organization; Development of metrics to to measure performance of stores within the region. Management of up-to 12 field sales credit managers and 400 stores.
The candidate is responsible for developing the launch plan for launch and ongoing activities. The candidate is also expected to hire staff and train existing team such that their integration into the client environment is smooth and successful.
Relationship Management:
Candidate would be expected to work closely with the client's training department to develop the card specific modules to train the associates. This would involve a thorough understanding of the client's point of sale environment and the processes that have been established to issue new cards through their system.
Candidate would also be expected to develop a strong working relationship with the key Regional field sales managers for their respective region.
Program Specific Analytics:
The candidate is also expected to analyze the effectiveness of sales training programs. SpecificallyStore specific performance measurement Sales credit manager specific measurement Implementation of best practices across the region.
REQUIREMENTS
Proven track record in driving sales through the implementation of training programs Minimum of 7-10 years experience in marketing in a sales and training environment. Comfortable with a start up environment for the program. Ability to hire, train and build a geographically disbursed team. Extensive travel to the different client regions (25% - 50%) Prior experience in retail environment is extremely important but not critical. Excellent sales and people management skills.
