Provider Relations Representative

There is currently an outstanding opportunity for you as a: Provider Relations Representative


This position is responsible for the education of network providers regarding the Medical Group's policies and procedures through on-site visits and telephone communication. This position acts as a liaison between network providers, health plans and Medical Group to assist in problem resolution. Responsible for maintaining physician database and health plan submissions.
Here are a few of the Essential Job Functions:

Applicant should have a working knowledge of Managed Care/HMO procedures. Two years experience in Managed Care environment required.

Have excellent customer service and computer skills (Excel, Word, IDX, Groupwise-or equivalent).

Excellent communication skills (verbal/writing) are necessary.

Regular travel to physician offices is required, must have a valid driver's license and vehicle.

Medical terminology and basic clinical knowledge preferred.

Job Requirements
The preferred candidtates will have the following experience and education:

High School Diploma, or equivalent. Bachelors Degree preferred, but not required

2 years of experience in a managed care environment.
