Summary:
The Travelport Consumer Platform Product Analyst will be responsible for the continued development of Travelport's core software platform designed to support a myriad of global consumer and white-label travel websites and businesses.
The Product Analyst will work closely with the Technology Development, Business Development, Marketing, Customer Care & Service, and other Product groups to design and deliver new functionality to the platform as the marketplace demands. The Product Analyst will develop and translate requirements into functional specifications, and work closely with a supporting team to translate these into technical specifications.
The ideal candidate will have appropriate product and technical experience so that he or she can identify and plan the key features for the software product that will deliver capability across multiple consumer branded websites. Experience in a multi-product, highly complex, interconnected software environment and an understanding of the full development life-cycle is required. Experience writing software is required.
Responsibilities:Understand the competitive landscape and customer needs to identify potential opportunities. Manage project requirements process through business and product requirements, process workflow, functional specifications, technical design, reporting, test cases, and training materials. Work with Project Management to ensure project deliverables are successfully implemented. Identify issues and own the resolution of issues across Accounting, Legal, Marketing, Advertising, Technology, Product, and Customer Experience. Champion the consumers' online experience, with a keen eye on developing a superior and differentiated user experience in travel products. Collaborate with Information Architecture, Technology, Creative Design, Editorial, and Front End Production to understand feasibility and constraints of potential alternative solutions.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:B.A./B.S. required.Minimum three years related work experience with e-commerce/retail website or related consulting experience.Experience writing product requirements and communicating project details with project team (Business Owners, IA/Design, and Technology).Experience writing/coding software required.Requires ability to work with resources throughout the organization with minimal guidance.Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal). Strong product and project management skills.Must have background in internet/software product management with solid understanding of product lifecycle from inception through delivery and post-delivery support.Strong technical aptitude. Demonstrate the ability to understand the business consequences of technical decisions. Able to weigh costs and benefits of multiple projects and prioritize projects based on value to the business.Solution and team oriented. Able to drive issues to resolution by leveraging cross-functional team.
