Product Analyst

SUMMARY
Under the general supervision of the EVP Chief Retail Officer, uses specialized knowledge and skill obtained through experience and training to obtain, analyze and disseminate product information. Established procedures and guidelines are provided to perform a variety of information gathering and analysis tasks with limited decision making responsibility. Constant contact with internal and external information sources is required to obtain, clarify, or provide facts or information. May assist in recommending product design, pricing and sales strategies for less complex products and services.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Gathers, analyzes and distributes information on product sales trends, product demand, competitive product pricing and design, marketing strategies on assigned products; may conduct limited interpretation of data
Collects and analyzes information pertaining to the sale/cross-sale of assigned products; analyzes and conducts limited review/analysis of ideas and suggestions and identifies best practices in bank and in industry
Prepares production reports for all assigned products
Assists in developing product-oriented positioning documents, product profiles and other content for web site, collateral material and seminars; conducts competitive analysis Assists in identifying, monitoring, preparing and disseminating information on products, sales strategies, capabilities, vulnerabilities and intentions of existing and potential competitors
Analyzes sales factors, including pricing, distribution and product performance and assists in providing statistical reports and recommendations for change in sales strategies
Supports marketing programs and assists in developing a clear, compelling and differentiated message and position for assigned productsSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Researching, manipulating and compiling information
Interpreting and applying practical meaning to research results and presenting information at an appropriate level to specific audiences
Identifying and selecting sources of competitive intelligence and conducting basic competitive studies
Conducting product research projects using accepted sampling methodologies and data collection procedures
Operating standard office equipment and required software applications to produce documents such as reports, graphics, electronic communication, spreadsheets and databases.
Ability to communicate effectively with all areas of the company to complete assignment.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
College Degree or Associates Degree
Minimum of 3 to 5 years in Regional Bank environment
