PR Account Executive (Work with a respected agency!)

For more than a quarter century, this firm has specialized in creating and implementing marketing communications and public relations programs for business clients who sell services or products to other businesses.

What would you be doing?

If your strengths include taking initiative, changing gears on a moment’s notice and great creative thinking, then this may be the hands-on role you’ve been looking for. Working with print and broadcast media both locally and nationally, you would responsible for strategizing innovative ways to position your clients in the media. Your duties would include:

Developing sourcing sheets, news releases and pitches as well as listed media for those materials
Drafting press releases, fact sheets, biographies and positioning messages for clients
Obtaining interviews and press features for clients
Developing PR strategies and plans

REQUIREMENTS


What kind of candidate are we looking for?

PR agency experience is required, preferably within a professional services field. Strong writing and media relations skills are a must. Demonstrated experience in pitching a story to the media and trades is required. Experience with broadcast pitches is a plus, along with a background in client positioning and message development. Solid presentation skills are essential. Proficiency in related computer applications is required. A degree in a related field is also required.
