National Marketing Manager, Center for Technology Innovation

Deloitte is currently searching for a Marketing Manager for its new Center for Technology Innovation (the Center). This individual will be responsible for planning and executing marketing strategies and programs that build eminence and drive business growth for the Center and its "Game Changer", and complement the broader marketing and business development objectives for the Technology Sector of Deloitte's
US Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) industry practice. The Marketing Manager will report directly to the National Marketing Director for TMT and work closely with the existing TMT marketing teams. This position will be based in San Jose, Calif.
- Strategize with the Center Director and Steering Committee as well as practice leaders and marketing team members from TMT to understand market drivers/issues and to build and execute marketing programs that address select platforms and showcase Deloitte's insight and broad service capabilities.
- Maintain close communication with TMT Industry marketing team to ensure resources are coordinated/optimized and programs are aligned with overall industry/sector strategy and goals.
- Lead annual marketing planning effort for the Center; coordinate with TMT marketing team to identify synergies and avoid duplication
- Oversee tactical execution of Center marketing plan. Engage appropriate Deloitte resources, (including
Center support staff and subject matter experts as well as business development managers, client service professionals, and marketing personnel) to execute integrated marketing programs. Ensure programs are implemented cost-effectively and to achieve desired business goals.
- Provide direction and coordination in the design and execution of events geared toward client education, relationship building and revenue growth including, but not limited to conferences, seminars, and trade shows.
- Manage strategic alliance relationships with key associations, influencers, media, think tanks, academics, etc.
- Support public relations.
- Work with integrated TMT marketing team to organize and execute regional client meetings and events (panel/roundtables/industry conference receptions, etc.) to strengthen relationships and drive revenue with strategic clients and targets
- Determine and engage other Firm support as needed to drive initiatives (i.e., KM, PR, Internal
Communications, etc.)
- Sustain and develop thought leadership around select platforms issues. Provide writing/editing support for the Center and manage outside resources as needed.
- Develop and execute internal communications programs and materials to support awareness of the Center's resources, programs, results, etc. across the TMT practice and firm.
- Track, monitor, and evaluate marketing and sales activities and accomplishments. Survey decision makers on effectiveness/quality of efforts and solicit feedback for future actions. Provide recommendations to Center and industry leadership.
- Implement and maintain Center marketing budget. Coordinate with and leverage relevant marketing programs/methods within TMT to help ensure consistency and cost effectiveness.
- Liaise with other Innovation Center Leads and Industry Eminence Manager to share best practices and to leverage relevant approaches
- Interface frequently with partners/principals, subject matter
experts and other staff from across the country, including Center Director and Steering Committee, Industry and Sector Leaders, Service Line Leaders, and Marketing and Business Development professionals at national and regional levels.
- Participate in and execute components of strategic planning, budgeting, and program execution for the Center. Direct oversight of marketing staff may be required during project design, development, and completion.
- - 8-10 years of prior, relevant experience, with a focus in: marketing strategies, relationship strategies, events strategies and programs
- Previous experience in a large professional services or consulting firm preferred, not required
- Knowledge of/experience with technology industry preferred
- Proven ability to drive entire marketing programs and experience managing teams in a professional services or large matrixed company
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously with demonstrable
experience in consistently delivering high quality results
- Superior writing skills, with demonstrated ability to create marketing collateral, press releases, web content, internal communications materials, client success stories, and thought leadership outputs.
- Excellent oral communications skills and professional client service manner
- Superior Microsoft Office skills (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with integrating various technologies to support marketing efforts
- Demonstrated ability to work well within a team, both on location and in a virtual mode, and ability to interact with/influence all levels of management
- Project management experience
