Merchandising Coordinator

Responsible for assisting the Director of Merchandising in creating and executing a comprehensive merchandising strategy that maximizes overall profit for Tully’s Coffee. The Merchandising Coordinator will be involved in all aspects of the Tully’s Coffee Merchandising Department.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Assists Director of Merchandising in selecting merchandise for order, placing order, and inventory distribution
Responsible for inventory replenishment with open-to-buy responsibilities over the merchandising department
Researches new trends or advances in product lines to assist director in buying decisions
Allocates merchandise to stores according to warehouse and store inventory levels.
Assists stores with merchandise transfers to fulfill stock needs
Plans and forecasts for future merchandise buys based on historical buys, reoccurring buys and current inventory levels
Responsible for reviewing stock to sales ratios, responding to changing sales trends, and ensuring plan sales, plan markups, and plan markdowns are achieved
Responsible for visual presentation of merchandise in Tully’s company-owned stores
Creates timely merchandise displays throughout store and creates an enjoyable, easy shopping experience for the customer to maximize revenue and customer satisfaction.
Assists with other special projects as needed

REQUIREMENTS
Experience buying and/or allocating merchandise in a multi-unit retail environment strongly preferred
Experience in the retail coffee house industry required
PC skills, including MS Office applications, e-mail and internet
Demonstrated ability to create and implement effective visual merchandising concepts and displays
Strong analytical skills, including sales reporting and forecasting
Customer-centric attitude and mindset
Desire to work in a fast-paced, team environment
