Merchandise Planner

Our client is a growing specialty retail chain. Currently they are seeking an experienced Merchandise Planner.

The Merchandise Planner will partner with management to effectively plan and control inventories at the location level to maximize sales, inventory, and profit. Ensure the company’s commitment to be in stock on key items and replenished merchandise.

Key Responsibilities for this position include:

•Develop location plans based on trend, store profiles, size and color for new and reorder merchandise.
•Develop business plans for sales, inventory, and markdowns
•Strategize with stores on assortment and locational business opportunities
•Maintain OTB
REQUIREMENTS
•Minimum of 2 -3 years experience with merchandising, planning, forecasting, and allocation in a retail environment
•Strong analytical skills
•Strong PC and organizational skills
•Ability to effectively work with all levels of management.
•Experience with Island Pacific or a similar system is preferred.
