Marketing Statistical Analyst - Consumer & Commercial

Position Objective:

Reporting to the Financial/Statistical Analysis Team Leader, develops and maintains statistical models used to predict potential customers. The incumbent will also maintain data used for statistical analysis and model implementation.



Position Responsibilities:

§Develop, maintain, and implement statistical models used to predict potential customers

§Profile marketing campaigns to identify potential customers

§Support daily marketing activities (test designs, sample sizes, confidence intervals, ad hoc requests)

§Perform statistical analysis and maintain data for model implementation

§Investigate new tools and technologies that will aid in data analysis

§Formulate conclusions and present findings of research in written and oral format to Marketing

REQUIREMENTS


Education/Experience:

Successful candidates are results-oriented individuals pursuing or having completed an undergraduate degree in Math/Statistics, Actuarial Science, or MSIS majors. Proficient in the application of multivariate data analysis, modeling techniques and basic statistics. Multivariate regression, logistical regression, and/or discriminant analysis is a plus. A minimum GPA of 3.0 is preferred.



Specific Skills/Special Requirements:

Proficient in the application of basic statistics (e.g. hypothesis testing, variance analysis, exploratory data techniques, etc.) Experience with computer programming and the use of statistical software packages such as SAS. Experience using word processing and spreadsheet software. Strong written/oral skills with the ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience. High level of motivation coupled with the ability to set priorities. TSO/ISPF, MVS/JCL, DB2, SQL, and statistical software/data mining techniques a plus.
