Energy Central is adding a position to our marketing services sales team. We are looking for a smart, innovative and self-motivated professional to join our sales team. Our team is composed of experienced and motivated self-starters who enjoy the challenge of working in a fast-paced, customer-focused team environment. This is not an entry-level position.
About the Job
In our Marketing Services division, Energy Central helps vendors to the global power industry reach their branding and sales lead generation goals. We offer consulting services, market research services and a variety of advertising channels that reach this industry. Our account executives work closely with our clients and internal product managers to develop and deliver integrated marketing solutions for our clients.
This position is an inside sales position, with 90%+ of sales efforts happening by phone & e-mail communications. There is some travel (to trade shows and select customers), but it is limited to about 10%.
Compensation includes competitive base + commission + bonus, insurance (medical, dental & life), and paid vacation. Great account executives earn over $100k/year, and we only hire great account executives. We offer insurance (medical, dental, life), paid vacation, 401(k) matching and a flexible work-environment.

REQUIREMENTS
What you Need to Apply
You must have a minimum of 5 years of successful consultative sales experience (preferably to marketing decision makers), demonstrate a strong work ethic, time management skills and organizational skills.
You must have a track record of successfully listening to a customer's needs, understanding their business goals, and turning that knowledge into winning proposals.
You must be able to articulate the value of marketing solutions to a wide range of decision makers within small or large companies.
You must have the ability to build long-term relationships with clients.
You must have the self-confidence, energy and initiative to lead the customer to close. You must have significant experience in handling this entire sales process on the phone.
You must be a 'quick study' and be self-directed about continuously learning about marketing and the power industry.
Knowledge of the energy industry, the Internet, and advertising mediums are definite pluses, but not required. Experience with Web browsers and an understanding of marketing principles are pluses.
