Marketing Research - Sr. ManagerThe company is a leading manufacturer and marketer of quality home products. This position functions as a one-person research department. The selected candidate will report to the director of brand marketing.Responsibilities:Perform hands-on brand-level and product-level qualitative and quantitative custom marketing research including consumer segmentation, A&U tracking, ad effectiveness testing, brand equity building, and positioning/ID building. Link product development projects to consumer and market needs using ethnography, conjoint, price elasticity, needs/gaps analysis, and other custom research techniques.DO NOT APPLY unless you meet ALL the following requirements.Five or more years hands-on experience in qualitative and quantitative custom research including statistical modeling and analysis and recent brand-level strategic marketing research. At least three years of this experience must be in consumer research in durable goods. (Note: Research experience using only syndicated data CANNOT be substituted for this requirement.)Track record of custom marketing research projects leading to actionable recommendations, including projects in consumer segmentation, brand ID/health metrics, or ad effectivenessExperience with both traditional and innovative research methodologiesCareer experience across at least two product categories, e.g. CPG, housewares or other durable goods, food, beverages, etc.Experience in teaching or coaching marketing staff and company executives on how to leverage research as an input to the business decision-making processBachelor’s degree.
