Marketing Manager

High technology equipment rental company on Houston’s West side has an immediate need for a Marketing Manager to provide marketing strategy and marketing communications for multiple locations in North America as well as support to offices worldwide. Ashtead Technology Rentals is part of a publicly held, UK-based company providing sophisticated rental equipment in the following areas: Offshore Survey, Environmental Monitoring, Non-Destructive Testing and Remote Visual Inspection.Job Description:
Provide overall marketing strategy and art directionDesign advertisements, fliers, PDFs and publicationsWrite press releases, articles and other publicity materials
Web marketing including website, enewsletters and web advertising
Coordinate direct mail campaigns and produce annual catalog including managing vendors, print production and distribution
Oversee trade show schedule & events as well as customer loyalty program
Conduct market research & follow through on quality assurance initiatives
Partner with National Sales Manager on mailings, price lists and sales support
Manage marketing budgets and accounting paperwork
Occasional travel for events or presentations at Manager’s Meetings
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:
Strong writing and editing skills including the ability to take technical specifications and translate into easy-to-understand copy
Five or more years marketing experience with specific knowledge of web marketing as well as an eye for layout and design to support corporate identity and branding initiatives
Well organized, proven project and vendor management skills
Great attention to detail and professional presentation of materials
Strong ability to multi-task, work to deadline and adapt to change easily
Some experience in regard to high technology, engineering or industrial markets
Degree in English, Communications, Marketing/Advertising or related field
Strong Computer Skills on a PC-Based Platform Including: Quark Xpress and/or Adobe Creative Suite; HTML; FrontPage, Dreamweaver or other web editor; Acrobat Distiller; MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint; and Database management softwareCandidate must be able to provide portfolio including at least three writing samples as well as examples of design/DTP work.
