Marketing & Events Coordinator - Guy Carpenter - Marketing

Reporting to the Vice President - Sales Promotion, the Sales Promotion Coordinator will provide support for a broad range of marketing projects including, but not limited to, event planning, online registration, promotional merchandise program, CnC database management/marketing, basic Portal functions and online survey coordination.

1. Assist with various event planning tasks.

2. Manage online registration process, including creating programs, content and reports.

3. Post events to the Corporate Calendar.

4. Brainstorm event theming and assist with theme execution.

5. Provide on-site logistical support for events as needed.

6. Work with outside vendors to manage online merchandising program and custom order requests.

7. Execute direct marketing initiatives using client database. Create reports/mailing lists on request.

8. Proofread event materials.

9. Participate in U.S. Event Planning Network.

10. Assist with preparing surveys and reports using WebSurveyor.

11. Coordinate production of event materials.Perform other job-related duties with managerial approval.

REQUIREMENTS


1. Superior organizational skills and attention to detail.

2. Comfortable and confident interacting with senior level executives.

3. Strong time and project management skills.

4. A team player mentality with a desire for collaboration.

5. Willingness to provide outstanding customer service.

6. Proven ability to plan, manage and executive multiple projects simultaneously.

7. Able to prioritize multiple projects from beginning to end.

8. A flexible, "can do" attitude.

9. Able to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.

10. Able to act independently within specific parameters/guidelines to support the execution of activities.

11. Experience interfacing with third-party vendors.

12. Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Lotus Notes and database software.

Solid verbal and written communication skills. Proofreading skills a plus.

2 - 3 years of corporate work experience in a project support role. Marketing and/or event experience preferred.

Bachelor's Degree required.
