Marketing Data Analyst

Atlanta based analytics consulting firm is looking for a Marketing Data Analyst with extensive experience in data analysis and reporting to help provide analytic and statistical support on client assignments designed to acquire, enhance, and retain customers. The individual will have the opportunity to combine business insight with superior analytics and stay current on industry trends. These duties will include determining project requirements from a business perspective, preparing data for analysis, creating reports, summarizing findings and presenting learnings. A strong understanding of data manipulation techniques is required.



Responsibilities

* Collect and analyze marketing campaigns/ programs/ research data in order to identify key results and findings.

* Initiate and conduct analyses of databases and other sources of demographic, market and customer behavioral data.

* Respond to requests to identify causes for market demand changes, product utilization, attrition, profitability, and or competitive impact.

* Ensure integrity of analyses through rigorous attention to detail and validation of data.

* Communicate analysis results to relevant internal and external clients.

* Work within modeling, reporting and operations groups to leverage leading edge technology and data mining techniques to support the revenue and profitability goals.

* Partner with various internal clients in order to build customer relationships, effectively use prospecting information, and enhance overall client profitability.

* Develop presentations, supporting materials, spreadsheets and models, using a system for thinking, planning, and presenting.
REQUIREMENTS


Requirements

* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a quantitative field is required and a Master's Degree is preferred.

* 5 years experience in financial, marketing or statistical analysis and interpretation is required.

* 5 years experience working with SAS, SQL and UNIX or equivalent packages/programs.

* OLAP or other web based portal technology experience strongly preferred.

* Excellent analytic, critical thinking and decision support skills are required.

* Effective written and oral communication skills, including demonstrated ability to communicate conclusions and strategy implications to peers, manager, partners and clients is required.

* Strong process and project management skills are required.

* Thorough knowledge of applying technology to business issues.
