Market Development Manager, Contractor sales

The contractor Market Development Manager is responsible for the overall execution and management of the Contractor initiative performance. Key responsibilities include providing sales leadership to the Rockwell Automation contractor sales engineers, developing and maintaining relationship with key distributor and electrical contractor management, managing overall opportunities to deliver sales plan, forecasting sales and managing quotation team. Successful individual will work closely with the commercial marketing organization and the Contractor Programs Manager. This position will require frequent (50%) domestic travel.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline.Minimum 5 years field sales, distributor sales and marketing experience.2 years of supervisory experience.Demonstrated skills in the following areas:
o Understanding of electrical distribution and channels to market.
o Experience working with/for Electrical (Commercial preferred)contractors.
o Experience in commercial situations including conducting presentations & demonstrations to large audiences.
o Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and formal presentation).
o Demonstrated track record of high performance in previous roles.
o Ability to manage multiple projects and good organizational skills.
