Managing and controlling the advertising production costs in collaboration with all brands and consultant services;
For establishing and maintaining ConAgra Foods advertising production policies and procedures, including brand personnel and agency orientation, training, and process;
For the supervision, control and stewardship of all consumer advertising broadcast talent payments, including celebrity spokespersons;
Corporate administrator for Ad-ID commercial identification;
Corporate administrator for storage of broadcast commercial production masters and elements;
Corporate administrator for consumer brand competitive creative with vendor; and other advertising-related functionThe Advertising Manager reports into Marketing Services department.
The job requires:
The Advertising Manager, must work closely with the respective brand groups, other services group personnel, and outside agencies to coordinate the development and awarding of all commercial production jobs, the approval of all production estimates and invoices; a knowledge of the competitive/share of voice tracking; as well as media planning and buying.
This position involves direct dealing with outside agencies, suppliers, and talent unions in the administration of the talent payment function; the collection of music royalties; the resolution of billing discrepancies (media and talent) and all non-media billing and budget issues.
Affirmative action, decision making and problem solving skills in order to implement the company's consumer advertising activity.
The position requires 5-8 years in consumer advertising and a working knowledge of artwork and audio/visual production techniques, terminology, materials, equipment and practices used by outside media suppliers as well as the internal services and brand marketing organizations.
Considerable knowledge of principles, practices, methods and techniques of marketing and understanding of financial accounting systems are also required.
The Advertising Manager must also be skilled in all aspects of computer spreadsheet/word processing/database programs, as well as computer hardware systems and audio/visual creativity.
Working with the respective personnel, maintain stringent control of all brand advertising production investments to ensure maximizing of all profit goals.
Manage and oversee MRA agency that will be collecting data relevant to talent residuals and music royalties and review appropriate reports prepared by same agency for submission to reporting authorities. Verify and process for payment all residual billings, and monitor music royalty receipts.
Steward all consumer advertising spending in the non-working advertising area and work closely with the respective brand personnel and department personnel in providing the necessary direction for financial reviews.
Perform budget analyses and projections on a monthly basis.
Working with advertising production consultant services plan, organize, monitor and direct the commercial production process to ensure that company procedures and guidelines are followed and that maximum potential savings are realized.
Collect data and generate talent estimates.
Check, verify and coordinate approval process for all non-working media estimates.
Check, verify and approve for payment all talent, production, and print invoicing submitted; including the identification and resolution of all discrepancies, so as to provide for an accurate and timely disposition of these documents.
Maintain data regarding costing trends and perform analytical and evaluative work related to company's performance versus industry performance.
Assist the Director of Advertising in areas of media information systems to improve the efficiency of the Department's utilization of the most effective systems for managing its responsibilities.Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience, MBA degree a plus.
7-10 years of experience.
Successful prior experience working with brand management teams to translate marketing objectives into functional consumer promotion strategies and tactics.
Proven ability to develop and execute promotional programs that drive sales volume.
Solid quantitative skills to perform post-program analysis and calculate marketing ROI.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Commitment to results; ability to incorporate new learning into existing plans and act decisively.
Proven ability to manage, motivate, and lead people.
