Manage implementation of new trade strategies that result in increased sales, increased profits and the reduction of costs. Manage the development, deployment, compliance and settlement of assigned group trade plan utilizing operating group trade management systems. Direct trade dollars to maximize sales within budget and ensure effective use allocated budget. Communicate between field sales, business groups and marketing to achieve sales plan.Responsible for business development with assigned accounts within the team.
Develops promotional programs for team accounts.
Actively participates and assists account management personnel in the presentation of category strategies, plans and promotions.
Monitors account performance to ensure that objectives are being achieved in accordance with strategies.
Insures sales compliance with published spending guidelines.
Develops annual customer business plans by coordinating with customer, team personnel, and development directors.
Coordinates with sales management, support personnel, business development, account management, brand management and other HQ personnel on sales and brand issues.
Develops breakthrough account specific marketing programs.
Creates presentation packages for new item introductions and line extensions.
Coordinates spending policy/procedures and account information to appropriate departments.
Analyzes and evaluates promotional effectiveness of sales and marketing programs.
Analyzes current selling rates versus the business plan to develop sales forecast.A minimum BA/BS degree in business or related field
A minimum of 4+ years business management experience within one or more of the following areas: sales, marketing and trade marketing.
2+ years of account management and 2+ years of sales management of complex accounts and/or sales teams.
Has a working understanding of consumer buying behavior, so as to understand the account's consumer database and how we can market towards that database to optimize sales.
Ability to gather, coordinate, and manipulate data to support business trend reports and ConAgra Foods initiatives.
Superior PC skills especially in Excel spreadsheet application. Exceptional analytical, communication, organizational and problem solving skills.
Expertise of markets, retailers and brand strategies on a team level.
