MARKETING PHYSICIAN RELATIONS LIAISON

As a result of the July 2000 reaffiliation with Scripps Clinic, Scripps now has approximately 10,000 employees and also cares for patients at 12 Scripps Clinic locations throughout San Diego County.Division: Scripps HospitalsDepartment: MARKETINGJob Type: Full-TimeShift Type: DaysShift Hours: 8 Hr ShiftPosition Profile: Responsible for the communication and marketing efforts, concentrating on service, education and referrals with Scripps Mercy Hospital Chula Vista physicians. The physician relations liaison performs duties to support the goals and objectives of Scripps Mercy Chula Vista’s marketing and communications plan in an effort to provide and market programs/services and to strengthen relationships with Scripps Mercy Chula Vista physicians. In addition, provides support to improve programs and services between the physicians’ offices and the hospital. This is accomplished in alignment with and in support of Scripps’ corporate goals and priorities. Identifies and implements best programs to promote Scripps Mercy Chula Vista programs and services and/or strategic medical groups.Maintains physician database, develops progress reports and maintains updated work plan through Marketing and Communications. Develops and manages physician relations ongoing networking events, activities and communications.Responsible for identifying physicians to speak to the local media. REQUIREMENTS
Preferred Qualifications: Bilingual(English/Spanish) highly preferred.
Baccalaureate degree preferably in marketing, communications, sales or advertising. Should have strong computer skills, including expertise with database software, spreadsheets, and other desktop program.
Four plus years of previous project management work in marketing and communications, preferably in health care, sales, or a related field. Must be very outgoing, strong interpersonal skills and be results-oriented. Successful experience planning and executing marketing, public relations and internal communications tactics. Excellent verbal and written communications and presentation skills. Ability to manage a variety of complex projects from start to finish. Previous experience putting projects out to bid, tracking results and adjusting course based on findings. Ability to interact with diverse customers, including business development, medical staff, administration and the public and function as a team player.
