JLVE/KSCA/KTNQ/KRCD Research Director - FT

Assist the Sales department by using audience and market research for positioning the stations and the Hispanic market. This position also assists the Programming and Promotions departments as well as station management.

This job description is intended for positions where the responsibilities are not routine in nature and require some travel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

·Regular and timely attendance.
·Attend regularly scheduled sales meetings.
·Develop rapport with sales managers, staff and clients.
·Provide research presentations to include qualitative and quantitative data using Arbitron, Scarborough, Simmons and X-Ray sources (among others.)
·Analyze and produce audience and market trends.
·Train sales staff on syndicated research and software programs available to them.
·Ability to address sales needs and create solutions for AEs’ clients.
·Monitor relative printed information for distribution to the staff.
·Edit and write articles for the monthly sales newsletter.
·Provide audience analysis to station Program Directors and General Manager.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications for Consideration

·Experience in Broadcast or Media research.
·Ability to work with all levels of management.
·Good verbal and written communication skills.
·Ability to follow instruction well.
·High degree of attention to detail.
·Persistence and ability to complete projects within deadlines.
·Requires working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and the use of the Internet.

Experience and Education

·College graduate.
·3-4 years experience with similar job responsibilities and requirements.

Necessary Language Skills

·Ability to speak Spanish a plus.
