In Store Marketer

GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the In-Store Supervisor, a Sears Home Improvement Products marketing representative’s main purpose in the SEARS store is to generate a quality lead from a homeowner that has an interest in our home improvement products. The presentation should be informative and also encourage homeowners to take advantage of a free in-home estimate and the discount offer.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The In-Store Marketer is the first contact with potential Sears Home Improvement Product customers and must maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism with customers and Sears retail associates. The In-Store Marketer must also be able to:
•Must greet each customer in a professional manner. Maintain a positive mental attitude at all times and handle each customer (internal and external) in a polite, professional manner.
•As defined in the SOP and related training ask appropriate questions to determine customer needs and interest in scheduling an appointment.
•As defined in the SOP and related training respond appropriately (rebut) to soft objections or concerns from customer.
•Report hours worked and lead information on a daily basis.
•Fax leads to the Appointment Center at the end of shift.
•Fax time sheet and customer report at end of last shift worked for the week.
•Maintain a general knowledge of Sears retail store layout in order to direct customers to specific departments.
•Direct customer complaints/concerns to appropriate parties.
•Must be flexible to adjust work schedule to meet needs of department.
•Thank customers for shopping at Sears.
•This position requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
•Based on skill and ability, the In-Store Marketer may be asked to assist in training new team members.
•Must be committed to maintaining and meeting scheduling requirements established at time of hire or as agreed upon between supervisor and associate.
•Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
POSITION DIMENSIONS:
•Maintain productivity averages without compromising quality/confirmation requirements, 30% Productivity and 42% Confirmation Rate (.125 CLPH).
•This is an hourly position with bonus potential.

COMPETENCIES (SKILLS) REQUIRED:
•Self-starter, have the ability to stay focused on goals, self-disciplined
•Must be able to maintain a positive attitude while handling rejection
•Must have legible handwriting
•Must have above average verbal communication skills.

KNOWLEDGE AND PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
•High school diploma or equivalent preferred
•Individuals must be at least 18 years of age
•Candidates with ability to persuade / minimum selling skills preferred
•Prior face-to-face marketing experience is helpful but not required
