General Assignment Sales Representative (Advertising Sales Assoc

Purpose:
Los Angeles Times is looking to fill an exciting outside advertising sales position with an energetic, highly motivated individual. Los Angeles Times, a Tribune Publishing Company is searching for a General Assignment Sales Representative (Advertising Sales Associate) for our fast paced Regional Retail Advertising San Fernando Valley division.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Partner with sales reps to grow revenue and increase market share by providing advertiser support. Conduct cold calling and generate leads for the team.
Analyze account situations to determine needs and provide client support in a proactive fashion. Communicate rate, product information and provide advertiser follow-up. Ensure and coordinate the production of advertisements by working closely with internal production department and advertisers. Act as a liaison to quickly resolve any advertiser service matters that may arise.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree or 1-2 years experience in business-to-business sales.
Previous advertising sales or recruitment related sales experience is a plus.
Our ideal candidate is an energetic self-starter with excellent time management and organizational skills.
Candidate must be online savvy, personable, analytical, highly motivated, team oriented.
Must have strong verbal and written communications skills.
Candidate must be proficient with MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
