Director, New Product Development
This position will be responsible for growth initiatives for the Core Marketing team. This is a key role with oversight of all product development and other growth activities, and responsibility for driving future growth of the business. This individual will be expected to sustain the momentum on existing initiatives while identifying new growth possibilities. This person will manage an existing team with several direct reports and manage cross-functional relationships across various departments.
1.Manages the development and implementation of marketing plans, strategies, and programs. This includes forecasting portfolio performance and growth, activation, utilization and retention and meeting those forecasts.2.Develops and manages budgets and portfolio programs. Ensures portfolio programs are executed efficiently to stay within budget.3.Participates with members of risk management and marketing to assess strategic business opportunities and develop recommendations to meet business objectives.4.Acts as liaison with list procurement and processing. Markets Credit Card Services information services, credit risk recommendations and operations capabilities to partnership.5.Sources and manages outside vendors to provide cost-effective, high-quality program execution, enhancement, and third party marketing programs. Completes contracts, negotiates pricing and manages relationships.6.Manages the development of new distribution channels, processing procedures and products.7.Responsible for budgeting, staffing plans, and the selection and development of personnel for all acquisition, portfolio management, and product development activities within portfolio. Establishes and monitors objectives and performance through formalized goal setting, project planning and performance management process. Administers human resources policy as appropriate.8.Performs other special projects and duties as requested.

Key skills for this position include a high degree of creativity, excellent project management and execution skills and strong relationship management skills. In addition, ideal candidates will exhibit a strong ability to think strategically and a competent grasp of analytics.Qualified candidates will possess an MBA (preferred) and undergraduate degree from a strong university program, as well as relevant industry experience. Candidates with prior experience in product development and/or the consumer finance industry are of particular interest, as are those who have served with a top management consulting firm.
