AutoCAD also paved the way for our technology leadership in industries such as building, infrastructure, manufacturing, media and entertainment, and wireless data.Director, Marketing Business Analytics, Planning & ManagementReporting to the Senior Director of Worldwide Marketing Services, the Director of Marketing Analytics, Business Planning & Management will have responsibility for a corporate team chartered with putting business & financial analysis, information & insights to work in planning and running the marketing function. In addition, the Director will be responsible for regularly assessing and analyzing marketing’s performance on an absolute and comparative basis.This role is highly visible across the company and geographies. The Director will work with internal stakeholder-clients to better analyze and understand business data, information and insights to measure the return on Autodesk’s marketing investments. The Director will work closely with Corporate Finance, IT and other business partners in developing and executing a coherent and comprehensive marketing business planning & management framework including core policies and processes.Responsibilities:Marketing Business Analytics, Planning & Budgeting:Working with marketing executives, business units and finance business partners, define, own and operate the marketing strategic business analytics planning and budgeting processes. Ensure that marketing and other business systems of record support the process with accurate data and information as required to plan & run the business.Marketing Performance Measurement & Reporting:Using internal and external data, regularly assess, analyze and report on the marketing function’s performance on a multivariate basis. Maintain and continuously improve a practice in global marketing performance reporting focused on a distinct set of key performance indicators, peer and competitive assessments and other absolute and relative measures.Marketing Business Policies, Processes & Systems:Work with key internal stakeholders to define, develop and continuously improve marketing business management policies & processes. Translate workflows and processes into prioritized business requirements that define our rolling 3 year process & systems roadmap. Create compelling business cases for investments required to fulfill roadmap commitments.Required Experience, Expertise & Knowledge: 10 + years track record of using data to analyze, inform and guide marketing & business strategy Strong fiscal management bent/experience Broad range of qualitative / quantitative strategies for market and customer base insights Statistical and operational expertise (analysis, modeling, policy, methodology, financial/business impacts, reporting) Global planning, management, analysis, working with defensible data to influence senior level executives Leading a team in a matrixed organizationPreferred Experience: Assignments of increasing complexity in major business consulting or accounting firms 10+ years consumer, product technology & services businesses and projectsTechnical & Business Skills: Marketing, finance, accounting, planning, modeling, rapid quantitative analysis Business analytics methodologies & tools including SAP, Business Objects, Microsoft Excel etc. Business process engineering, systems requirements gathering & documentation Well-developed quantitative skills for the successful assessment of business investment performance Effective communicator who thinks strategically, writes concisely, speaks easily to large and small groups and is a coalition builder Flexibility and creative mind-set; comfort driving organizational and operational change through established organizationsCultural Skills and Attributes: Well rounded business professional with technical acumen and a passion for creating, mining, sharing and using sound, solid and accurate customer data Flexibility, sense of humor; diplomacy Effectively driven a company/client through change/change management using data and guiding them to data-driven decisions Strong people management skills, ability to provide leadership & coaching to a diversely talented teamEducation: MBA in finance or marketing with an emphasis in business planning, management & performance assessment Undergraduate or graduate degree in Business, Finance, MarketingAutodesk is always looking for extraordinary people who strive for excellence.
