Director, Global Sorting Solutions

This Position Is Responsible For Defining, Managing And Growing The Global Sortation Solutions Line Of Business For The Document Factory Solutions Product Line Within Document Messaging Technologies. These Responsibilities Include Defining The Product Line Strategy, Creating All Market And Product Requirements, Establishing Pricing, Positioning And Investment Priorities To Support Global Market Growth And Profitability. Product Responsibilities Include All Sortation Hardware And Operating Software As Well As The Reliavote Solution. Responsibilities Also Include Ensuring That All Information/Data Connectors Are Defined And Developed For The Integration Of Sortation Products Into The Df Works Software Suite Within The Adf Environment.



Key Global Position Accountabilities Include: Achieve P&L Targets For Global Line Of Business, Develop Rolling Eighteen Month And Three Year Global Product Line Plan And Strategy, Improve Competitiveness And Customer Satisfaction And Achieve Global Revenue And Growth Through The Introduction Of New Products And Services. Other Accountabilities Include Managing Feature/Cost Trade-Off Decisions And Launch Priorities For All Development Activities, Ensuring Cost Effective And Timely Product Launches, Managing All New Product Market Research And Recommending New Business Opportunities. Managing The Life Cycle, Building Global Business Cases, Defining Build Or Make Strategy And Defining End Of Life Will Also Be



Key Accountabilities For This Position.

1. Define And Execute The Global Sortation Solutions Product Line Strategy To Support Global Market Growth And Profitability. Rolling 18 Month And 3 To 5 Year Strategies Required.



2. Manage Product Positioning And Pricing On A Global Basis, Including Appropriate Prioritization And Pricing Of Custom Engineering Requests



3. Define And Validate Dmt Market Requirements To Support New Product Development Activities.

Qualitative And Quantitative Market Research

Customer, Sales And Service Visits

Linkage With Other Line Of Businesses

Ensure Products Are Easily Localized For Global Launch Effectiveness



4. Achieve Revenue, Gross Margin, Ebit, Customer Satisfaction Results And Market Share Growth Targets On A Global Basis For All Accountable Current And New Dmt Sortation Products Being Developed.



5. Develop Global Financials, Including Board Of Directors Submissions, And Supporting Marketing Documentation In Support For New Product Development Efforts. Manage Programs To Most Advantageous Life Cycle Cost Scenarios.



6. Recommend Sourcing Strategies Based On Analysis And Evaluation Of Critical Factors: Cost/Benefit, Time To Market, Competition, Internal Capabilities, Exclusivity Requirements, Etc.



7. Develop Effective Linkages With Global Mailing Systems L.O.B.'S To Ensure Continuity And Synergy In All Aspects Of Dmt Product Development And Communication/Launch Strategies.



8. Develop Three-Year Strategic Plan Revenue/Profit Financial Forecast In Conjunction With The Tactivcal Products Marketing Group.



9. Effectively Represent Mailcode/Pitney Bowes Customers Interest With Usps, International Post, And Other Industry User Organization (Napm Etc..)



10. Conduct Competitive Industry Analysis. Ensure We Can Compete Head To Head And Exceed Our Competition With Product Features And Capabilities.



11. Evaluate Risks To Sortation Market Segment (USPS Deregulation, 9/11, Partner Issues, Etc.)

REQUIREMENTS


Education & Experience:

Bachelor's Degree In Business Or Marketing Management, Master's Degree Preferable, 7+ Years Of Marketing Or Related Experience -- Including Areas Such As Market Planning, Product Planning And Development, Market Research, Competitive Intelligence, Financial And Marketing Analysis
