Coordinator, Programming Acquisitions

Ultimate Staffing is seeking a Programming Acquisitions Coordinator to join its client who is the nations' leading digital multichannel television service provider with more than 12.2 million customers. Services also include broadband satellite networks and global video and data broadcasting.

Primary Functions:
•Support of the retrans consent team as well all Local Into Local requirements within the business unit
•Facilitate internal communications regarding local stations with marketing, engineering, operations, legal/business affairs, customer service, supplier payments, Office of the President, etc.
•Facilitate external communications with local stations, station groups and other entities as necessary regarding local stations and must carry and retransmission consent elections, license fee payments, change of ownership, address, call letters, etc.

Primary Responsibilities:

•Create, maintain and distribute various reports regarding local stations and local markets
•Research, document and report on individual local stations (contact information, launch dates, call letter changes, ownership changes, etc.)
•Monitor and respond to phone and email inquiries from local stations, including requests for carriage
•Process notices (document receipt, distribute, mail response; maintain files) related to station and market launches
•General administrative duties as necessary
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:

•Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of related experience in a fast-paced environment required. Experience in a related industry preferred.
•Proven ability to effectively handle heavy, detail-oriented workload with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
•Proven follow-up, organizational and time-management skills coupled with a strong sense of ownership
•Superior oral and written communication skills
•Strong problem solving and analytical skills
•Flexibility and adaptability to an ever-changing work environment and duties
•Great attitude and sense of team spirit. Genuine desire to learn about the satellite television industry. Ideal candidate thrives by working closely with others in a team environment and across organizational boundaries.

Skills:

•Proficiency with the Windows platform and MS Office applications, including, Excel, Word, and Outlook and Access. Ability to learn new software applications.
•Solid grasp of general office procedures including but not limited to drafting routine business correspondence, filing and mailing


Position is starting out on a temporary basis through Ultimate Staffing with an intent to eventually get hired.
