Communications Strategist
Summary:
The Communications Strategist works within a client service team to maintain and improve client relationships with existing and potential DC and DB clients. They are responsible for client satisfaction of all Participant Services offerings including print communications, face-to-face education, phone services and Internet. We are looking for candidates in the Kansas City, MO area. No relocation will be provided.
Major Responsibilities:
Working within a dedicated Service Team, manage premiere client relationships and serve as account manager for Participant Services offerings including communication, education, phone services and internet programs that meet established objectives. Ensures client satisfaction through regular client meetings and discussions regarding participant experiences. Develops Participant Services and Education Reports (PSER) consistent with marketing strategies, business plans and budgets. Responsibilities include ongoing consultation with client, conversion execution and measurement, and may include management of additional resources on a project basis.
Oversee, manage and integrate the development, delivery and evaluation of participant product offerings including Participant Internet, education programs, phone services and communication services. Act as liaison between client and Service Team members to ensure delivery of products and exceed client expectations within budget.
Occasional participation in new business development (sales) efforts. Primary focus would be to support Communications Sales personnel by representing the Client Service teams in site visits and finals presentations.
Develop strategies and implement methods to measure effectiveness of participant products. Meet directly with clients to monitor PSER and recommend actions based on results. Identify new and/or improved processes and activities to exceed client and participant REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, education, marketing, business or related field.Five to seven years' experience in corporate communications, education, client management, marketing or benefit communications, including project management. Employee benefit industry experience preferred.
Knowledge of defined contribution plans and financial services industry, including relevant regulatory compliance preferred.
Working knowledge of PC and software, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Strong facilitation and consulting skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Flexible and self-motivated. Ability to deal with conflict.
Strong client relationship and project management skills.
Series 7 and 63 licenses preferred or ability to obtain within six months of employment.
30% Travel required
