CONSUMER MARKETING MANAGER-Freestyle

Primary Function / Primary Goals / Objectives:Devise and direct consumer marketing strategies and tactics for the Abbott Diabetes Care business, including programs to expand the market for existing products and launch plans for new diabetes products. Responsible for all core marketing activities and business processes for DTC. Develops long-term strategic plans for the business that direct the allocation of resources and provide marketing guidance for the various Abbott Diabetes Care sales channels. Develop and oversee the execution of direct to customer activities relating to assigned products. Provides direction and input to internal operational groups relating to product support and/or product development activities. Is the primary contact for creative agencies. Manages P&L responsibilities for brand related to sales and promotional budgets. Conceptualizes and implements lifecycle management strategy for brand. Acts as the lead marketing person of a product/brand with supervision of brand Senior Product Managers and Product Managers; Reports directly to the Marketing Director. Drive brand awareness and establish ROI metrics for DTC initiativesMajor Responsibilities:Responsible for the development of an annual Brand plan and financial plan.
Manages P&L responsibilities for brand related to sales and promotional budgets
Responsible for all core marketing responsibilities and business processes.
Conceptualizes and implements lifecycle management strategy for brand
Ensures optimization of brand P&L.
Builds and develops high performance brand team.
Provides input for business development/alliance projects.
Lead marketing person of a product/brand; Manages brand/functional area.
Direct reporting relationship to Director of Marketing
Responsible for segmentation/targeting/ positioning.
Apply market dynamics to analyze the product forecast (financial & production).
Manages relationships across functions to ensure optimal outcome for portfolio/brand.
Champions brand both internally and externally.
Responsible for analysis, planning, implementation and control of tactical programs working with agencies and third party vendors.
Manages the promotional material approval process for the brand.
Provide product information: Respond to channel requests on product positioning, competitive information, product performance issues, etc.
Conduct formal market research: communicate objectives and results of market research and recommend actions based on results.
Forecast for brand: unit/dollar projections by month and year.Responsible for the management of brand Senior Product Managers.Bachelors Degree with at least 6 years experience, with at least one year of experience in marketing or product management, or MBA with 2-4 years related experience. Previous medical sales and/or marketing experience preferred.
