As a result of the July 2000 reaffiliation with Scripps Clinic, Scripps now has approximately 10,000 employees and also cares for patients at 12 Scripps Clinic locations throughout San Diego County.Division: Scripps Health FoundationDepartment: DEVELOPMENTJob Type: Full-TimeShift Type: DaysShift Hours: 8 Hr ShiftPosition Profile: You will be responsible for writing articles, researching subjects and assisting in the editorial processes of Foundation publications and solicitation materials; for coordinating the production processes of printed and electronic materials created by the Department by tracking costs and coordinating text, art proofs and schedules to ensure efficient and cost-effective use of staff and budgetary resources. The Coordinator will also provide content for the Foundation web site and manages e-newsletter and direct e-mail solicitation functions and mailing lists; and assists in maintaining inter-and intra-office communications.SCRIPPS VALUESWe provide the highest quality of service.Scripps is committed to putting the patient first and quality is our passion. REQUIREMENTS
Preferred Qualifications: Must possess strong verbal and writing skills and a superior knowledge of grammar and usage; the ability to synthesize complex technical material to create summaries for lay audiences, to manage many tasks simultaneously and be very detail-oriented. Must have a thorough knowledge of print and electronic media production processes, including soliciting and reviewing estimates, and demonstrated experience working effectively with graphic designers, printers and mailing houses. Required computer proficiency includes expertise in Microsoft Word; knowledge of Microsoft Excel, HTML, web-editing and authoring tools, and 35 mm/digital photography is helpful.Undergraduate degree; or equivalent combination of education and work experience
