Business Development Professional/Sales

Are you driven and stop at nothing until you are successful? Then this position is for you with high five figure (realistic) potential!

Digitech, Inc., a 9 year-old technology company based in Indianapolis seeks a self motivated, goal oriented professional for a business development position. This position requires only basic knowledge of computer systems (i.e. working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook etc.). This is a great opportunity for the business development professional with 3+ years experience.

Responsibilities:

Identifies, prospects, and secures business opportunities to support new revenue growth for specific geographic area(s).
Travels through assigned territory to call on prospective clients to solicit business (no overnights).
Attends and presents at trade shows, trade association events and networking events.
Compiles lists of prospective clients for use as sales leads, based on information from list brokers, newspapers, business directories, industry ads, networking events, trade shows, Internet web sites, and other sources.
Documents sales and marketing activities
Promotes Digitech’s image and expertise
Develops and executes market research
REQUIREMENTS


Competencies/Traits:

Ability to call on the highest level decision makers in an organization (VP, CFO, CEO, Controller, Director of IT, etc) with confidence.
Group presentation skills
High energy/enthusiastic
Skilled at cold calling, negotiations, and closing (we provide some leads)
Entrepreneurial
Self starter who displays urgency
Persistent and overcomes obstacles to achieve productivity standards
Consultative selling skills

Education and/or Experience:

Understanding/Familiarity of IT industry (helpful).
Business to Business sales experience.
PC literacy to include PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel.
BA/BS degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
1 to 5 years sales experience preferred.
Proven track record of developing new business through cold calling, networking, and PR.
Experience establishing client relationships.

Compensation:

Base plus commission, health benefits and mileage reimbursement.
