Associate Director of Public Relations

Pitzer College, a member of The Claremont Colleges, seeks a talented and experienced professional for the position of Associate Director of Public Relations.

Essential Functions: The associate director must be a highly productive self-starter who can effectively pitch ideas to the media and prepare press releases; possess excellent writing and editing skills; and assist in the development of a variety of publications through graphic design and layout of magazines, brochures, and other printed material. Strong interpersonal skills required. Magazine experience preferred.

Monthly Salary: Competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. Regular, full-time position.
REQUIREMENTS
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, English, Communications Studies plus a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in working with the media and/or in public relations. Strong writing and editing skills, proficient in desktop publishing, multi-tasking, media relations.
