Area Manager of Sales

For years, Rotech has been a national leader in providing home medical equipment, respiratory equipment and services, and respiratory (nebulizer) medications for home use. More than 4,300 employees of the Rotech family of hometown companies contribute to delivering quality service and the best in professional patient care through more than 500 locations in 48 states across the country.

I. SUMMARY
Responsible for coaching the team of Sales Representatives in their assigned area to meet company sales growth goals and marketing Rotech services to physicians, ancillary healthcare professionals and to the hospital community. Meets goals and objectives that are defined as a company standard for industry growth and a sales team’s performance. Responsible for revenue growth, increasing market share with effective sales team management and utilizing an effective marketing strategy to enhance the overall success and growth of Rotech Healthcare.

II. JOB FUNCTIONS
A. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Manages sales team to market core service and products.
Provides leadership and accountability within Area.
Accountable for revenue growth and area profitability management.
Meets standards of company commission plans.
Coaches and trains sales team members on effective sales strategy with training sessions and field travel.
Keeps updated on industry and market place trends.
Manages a process that tracks and measures the performance and productivity of the area sales team.
Ensures the entire sales team is compliant with Rotech Corporate Integrity Agreement (CIA).
Ensures the entire sales team is trained and knowledgeable with all Medicare regulations and is compliant with the Medicaid regulations in the states in which they operate.

B. Other Duties and Responsibilities
Performs other duties as required.

C. Supervisory Responsibilities
Provides field travel supervisory support to direct report staff for coaching and account growth.
Maintains sales team profiles.
Maintains appropriate documentation regarding personnel performance.
Develops and manages professional development plans for all direct reports.
Manages performance evaluations for success of all employees
Maintain appropriate call schedule to facilitate feedback in a timely manner.
Conducts annual appraisals and career path mentoring.

III.QUALIFICATIONS

The requirements listed below are representative of the minimum knowledge, skill, and/or abilities required to perform this job successfully. A. Education and Experience
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
3+ years of job related experience in Sales, preferably with Healthcare Industry experience.
Prior sales management experience preferred.

B. Communication Skills
Effective written and oral communication skills required and demonstrated with leadership.
Strong negotiation skills

C. Analytical Skills
Understanding of basic financial analysis.

D. Machines, Equipment and Technical Abilities
Basic understanding of computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and e-mail applications.

E. Additional Skills and Abilities
Organization and time management skills
Strong decision-making skills
Strong business judgment

IV. WORK ENVIRONMENT
Based in the field working with Sales Representatives and location operations.

V. DEPARTMENTAL INTERACTION
Key focus with interdepartmental relationships at a local, regional, divisional and corporate level.
