Account Executive - Guidon

The Guidon, affiliated with the Springfield News-Leader, is taking applications for an Advertising Account Executive. The Guidon is the military newspaper for Ft. Leonard Wood, MO. This position performs all functions related to the increasing revenue, securing new advertisers and serving the accounts in a manner that will benefit both the advertiser and the Guidon. This position will maintain personal contact with all accounts each week and provide creative suggestions through spec ads and ad campaigns, prepare and deliver formal advertising presentations, and assist accounts with advertising budgets, service and billing as necessary.
REQUIREMENTS
This position requires a minimum of one year of sales experience and dealing with the public. Other related sales experience and/or training courses are desirable. This position also requires a valid Driver's License, a good driving record and minimum auto liability insurance coverage. Must possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills as well as strong organizational and time management skills. Must be able to work under deadlines and sales pressure. Artistic and creative ability a plus. This position will work out of the office in St. Robert, Missouri.
