ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE OVERVIEW

COMPANY HISTORY: Welcome Wagon has been welcoming families into their new homes and communities for over 78 years. In 1928, Welcome Wagon began with a unique marketing concept, sending a welcome basket filled with samples from local businesses and community information. Today, Welcome Wagon delivers a personal welcome gift to the new homeowner. This professional, soft-look organizer helps to familiarize new families with their local community, offers tips for around the home, is an effective place to store personal information, provides recommendations to local businesses and professionals, and housewarming gifts from these businesses as an incentive to meet them first! It’s a great way for local businesses and professionals to gain exposure to new homeowners.

JOB DETAILS: We have an outstanding lucrative opportunity for a results-oriented Account Executive to sell our print and on-line advertising programs to local businesses. In this consultative outside sales role, you will partner with local decision makers to help them achieve their goals and grow their businesses. You will also prospect new accounts and maintain and enhance existing client relationships, while presenting the benefits of Welcome Wagon’s outstanding marketing products and services. WE OFFER DEFINED PROTECTED TERRITORIES. We also offer opportunity for advancement.

COMPENSATION: UNLIMITED EARNING POTENTIAL, WITH NO CAPS! Full time Account Executives (AEs) receive a guaranteed training salary of $3,000 during the first 6 weeks of employment, ($1,000 per pay period, pro-rated, based on number of days worked). AEs who meet a performance goal of completing 56 presentations, closing 4 sales and completing required data base entries during the first six weeks will continue the training salary period for an additional 6 weeks.
Upon completing the first 6 weeks (or 12 weeks if the performance goal is met), AEs will begin receiving a recoverable draw, which is considered an advance against future commissions. AEs will begin earning a 15% base commission on every sale from the start even during the first 6 (or 12 weeks), if commissionable contracts are signed during your 6 (or 12) week training period.
An additional 6% bonus commission is available to AEs who sell a minimum of $16,000 in gross commissionable revenue. This 6% is calculated on the prior month’s sales. An average annual contract sale is approximately $2,000 or higher. AE commissions are paid monthly and upfront on the entire annual contract. Remember, there are no caps in our commission plan. The sky’s the limit!

EXPENSE REIMBURSEMENT: For the first 2 months you will be reimbursed up to $200 per month for your business expenses: cell phone and car mileage. Thereafter your reimbursable expenses will be based on your monthly revenue, ranging from $100 to $450.

BONUS INCENTIVES: We have several bonus opportunities on a monthly and annual basis. Bonuses range from $25 to $10,000!

CIRCLE OF EXCELLENCE: Welcome Wagon’s top sales performers who meet the established criteria will be identified and added to the Circle of Excellence. Members receive teleprospecting support with leads being provided, and staff making outbound calls with a goal to schedule 15 presentations for the AE each month. Additionally, members receive an extra $50.00 per month in expense reimbursement, Circle of Excellence designation on all sales materials, and a bonus equal to 1 week’s draw (to fund a one week vacation).

QUOTA: The targeted monthly quota for an Account Executive is $16,000. Here’s how to reach this revenue expectation: 16 presentations / week, closing at least 1 out of 7, with average contract revenue of $2,000.

BENEFITS: You are eligible to participate in Welcome Wagon’s 401(k) plan the first of the month following your start date! Additionally, you are eligible for Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance the first of the month following 90 days.

TRAINING PROGRAM: You will receive a training package during the week before your employment begins. As soon as you receive it, it will benefit you greatly to begin to review the enclosed materials. Your training will begin with a 3-day Home Study session. There will be a conference call with our Corporate Trainer and homework associated with the Home Study. Classroom Training (3 days plus a travel day) will commence Monday following self-study. The company will provide for your travel to the classroom training location and for your lodging during that period. FIELD TRAINING will begin the following week with continuous training thereafter.
