REQUIREMENTS
Responsibilities include:
•Perform routine and complex analysis of transportation patterns, volumes, lanes, and cost, including variances to strategic plans.
•Provide recommendations on changes to order flow patterns to improve service and reduce cost.
•Maintain data elements in Manugistics transportation management system
•Implement programs aimed at reducing transportation expenditures and enhance on-time delivery performance.
•Initiate and manage transportation supplier performance metrics
•Perform root cause analysis of service failures and report findings and recommendations to Management.
•Complete/coordinate ad-hoc analysis as required.
•Work closely with Asset teams to ensure transportation policies are met.
•Support Logistics Coordinators to ensure customer delivery objectives are achieved.
•Set up and maintain proper transit time standards by lane and mode.
•Provide expense analysis by mode, supplier, customer, lane, and make recommendations to drive cost improvement.
Essential Functions for this role are: •4 year college degree or equivalent experience
•2 years transportation experience
•Exceptional MS Excel skills
•Ability to multi-task and operate under pressure to meet tight deadlines•Capability to work independently
•Displays a sense of urgency and a positive outlook
•Strong verbal and written communication skills
•Ability to travel nationally (
